
Musical artist, voice actor, choreographer and dancer. Get to know Cristina Hardangen
Cristina is an actor, singer and dancer with a degree in Acting and Musical Theatre from the schools Bårdar Academy and Bårdar International (2016-2019). Along with playing lead characters on stage, she also has a great experience performing on camera in short films, commercials, feature films and in TV performances. She has appeared on stages such as Det Norske Teatret, Chat Noir, Salt Art & Music, and Karpedammen, playing lead characters such as Cinderella (Into the Woods), Shelley Parker (Bat Boy-the musical) and Christmas Eve (Avenue Q).
Cristina was born in Palma in Mallorca, and moved to Norway when she was about six years old. As a little child she loved to perform for her family, doing sketches and entertaining them with stories she made up. They always knew acting was what she was meant to do. Her love for acting grew when she appeared in the musicals Grease, Hair and Fame, and she began studying drama at St. Hallvard High School. She then went on to study Theatre at the prestigious Folk High School, Romerike Folkehøgskole.
Career
During the Summer 2015 Cristina was chosen to be a part of the CGTV program, where she took acting classes and attended several workshops. There she got to meet and work with talented people such as Adrian R’Mante, Phill Lewis and Lisa London. In Norway she has worked with several talented and well known directors, such as Svein Sturla Hungnes, Jostein Kirkeby-Garstad, Renate Stridh, Jeff Pedersen and Aksel-Otto Bull.
In 2018 she appeared on TV as a musical artist in the famous show “Battle of the Stars”. She also has appeared in human rights campaigns by Amnesty and The Norwegian Students and Academics Help Organisation.
In November 2020 she started a theatre company called Apropos Teater, and during the summer of 2021 they made their first performance at Salt Art & Music, where she directed and played the character Betty. In 2022 she started a vocal group named Respira.
During the summer in 2022 she represented Norway as a singer in the World Championship of Performing Arts (WCOPA) , held in Los Angeles.
Cristina won the award for Most Outstanding Performance along with Torbjørn Carter Møller for the short film «Alone for Christmas» in 2024 at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival.
Skills
Cristina is a 1.soprano singer with a strong belt and high mixed voice. She is a skilled dancer in the styles jazz, tap, classical ballet and hip hop. People who have worked with her describe her as passioned, hard working, talented, eager- and an absolute triple threat.
Cristina also works as an instructor and choreographer, and has choreographed dances and stage combat sequences in plays such as Rent (Chat Noir 2019), Call it Love (2019), Bat Boy- The musical (2018), Hakkebakkeskogen (Skriverparken, 2016), The Jungle Book (Lier + Skriverparken, 2015) along with others.
Cristina loves to keep developing as a performer. She continuously takes courses in voice-over and dubbing, and classes in acting and stage combat, along with singing lessons. Some of the people she has worked with is Kirk Baltz, Jonathan Flom and Jeff Pedersen.
She’s fluent in English, Norwegian and Spanish. In addition she practises Tae Kwon Do in which she now is a 4.degree Black belt (Master).
What is happening in 2025?
Lately she has been performing in a lot of shows and concerts, travelling throughout Norway. She’s currently developing her own scripts while taking on roles in different productions, both on stage on on-screen.
